Plastic Container as an Eco-Friendly Alternative to Styrofoam
03.01.2024
Responding to current trends and the growing awareness of environmental responsibility, FACH-PAK is starting the year with a new insulated container model. This 20-liter container features a standard 600x400mm footprint for transport and storage boxes. Both the container and its lid are insulated with polyurethane foam, helping maintain product temperature and protecting contents from external conditions. Smooth walls make cleaning easy, supporting hygiene throughout the supply chain.
- We received a request from a group of fishermen in a major European port. Evolving EU regulations and corporate strategies that voluntarily prioritize social and environmental considerations pushed them to seek an alternative to the non-ecological styrofoam packaging still widely used in the seafood processing sector. The client faced challenges with disposal, costs, and associated logistics. We took on the challenge, and by February the first containers will arrive for final testing- said Marek Budrewicz from FACH-PAK.
Project leaders emphasized that the new insulated boxes are designed not only for specialized environments such as fisheries and processing plants but also for retail networks handling fresh and frozen products and the catering sector.
